Contract Permanent Hours Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 17:00

 

Minimum Qualification and Experience

  • A full understanding of the import/export logistics process with experience in frozen and perishable goods.
  • A degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or similar field.
  • Must have a full understanding of supply chain processes.
  • Good knowledge of relevant software and ERP systems (Office, Macro, Syspro etc).

  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • A strategic and analytical mind.
  • Must have creative problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Must be an effective communicator with leadership capabilities.
  • Must be able to work in a high-pressure, deadline driven environment.

Main Duties/Key Results Areas

1. Analysing Supply Chain Data and Performance
Key Areas of Focus:

  • Create the company’s supply chain strategy.
  • Lead time form PO to Import Permit.
  • Shipping integrity versus PO dates.
  • Transit times versus PO lead times.
  • Analyse data from shipping and delivering processes to identify bottlenecks.
  • Customer delivery/intake analysis.
  • In store dwell time.
  • Find cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes.
  • Evaluate and report on KPIs.
  • Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth.

2. Maintaining Inventory
Key Areas of Focus:

  • Ensuring order levels are optimised in terms of market demand/trends.
  • Ensuring sufficient product on the water to meet demand/commitments.
  • Ensuring that in store stock levels are maintained to meet our commitments and the market demands.
  • Identifying possible swop out opportunities.
  • Understanding our clients’ production requirements and ensuring an optimal stock level is maintained to meet the demand (production-based products).
  • Ensuring that the costing model integrity is maintained.
  • All and any other related tasks & duties as expected from the employer from time to time.
